Romeo and Juliet questions

Romeo: (only just remember I only needed to do two but I already did the questions so here they are anyways)

  1. Romeo was depressed and upset over his dying love for Rosaline. Rosaline did not love Romeo back but Romeo believed that she was his only love and that he may never love another.
  2. Romeo makes hasty decisions without giving them enough thought. Romeo becomes very passionate and puts himself 100% into the relationships he gets into.
  3. Romeo decided to marry Juliet after one day. This was an extremely hasty decision of him. But without this happening, the series of events that occurred afterwards (for example Romeos banishment and then his suicide) may never have happened because Romeo and Juliet may never have gotten into a relationship.
  4. Romeo and Juliet are almost equally responsible for each of their deaths. Neither of them actually thought out their decisions and instead just did whatever they wanted.
  5. Think about what you do before you do it. Don’t make any hasty decisions and be cautious.
  6. I think that Romeo is a sincere person who just wants someone to love, but he certainly takes it too far. He makes multiple impulsive decisions that in the end ultimately led to his and Juliets death. If he has taken his time to get to know Juliet or had even ignored her in the first place, he may still have been alive.

Juliet:

  1. Juliet is just as responsible for the events that occurred in the play as Romeo is. Juliet didn’t think about her decisions and instead acted on impulse. If she had thought about what she was doing and how to handle the situations before her, the play may have turned out completely different.
  2. An important decision Juliet made was to marry Romeo. This was going against her fathers wishes for her to marry Paris. She also barely knew Romeo as they had only known each other for a day, which isn’t nearly enough time to decide whether or not you will marry someone. The marriage effected Juliet in a huge way because she was meant to marry Paris not long after she married Romeo. This led to her choosing to fake her death which then led to a series of other events.
